Tool Kit Resources: Positive Spaces Manuals
The Positive Spaces Initiative Starter Kit was designed by OCASI in 2009 and updated 2014 (English version only; French updates currently under development) with the intention of supporting settlement agencies in the beginning phases of creating Positive Spaces. Specifically tailored to the settlement sector in Ontario, it contains five fact sheets and five stories drawn from interviews with LGBTQ+ newcomers, staff and allies who participated in the Untold Stories Project.
This is the A Positive Space is a Healthy Place Manual published by the Ontario Public Health Association (OPHA) in 2011. It is designed to support the health sector and other community organizations in becoming Positive Spaces for LGBTQ+ clients, staff, and stakeholders.
